Coaching professionals through career and life transitions that challenge identity, capacity and presence.Welcome to The Quiet Shift
Born in Sri Lanka and raised in Bahrain, I spent my formative years in the UK where I studied, started my career and began building the life I live today. My journey brought me to Dubai where I've lived over the last 15 years.
I am a parent to two wonderful boys. My transition from full-time to self-employment coincided with a family health crisis. That experience helped me rediscover who I am as a person, a parent and a coach.
Most of my life has felt like a conversation between who I thought I should be and who I wanted to be. My own career transitions across law, talent development and coaching have given me a unique combination of qualities to sit with ambiguity, complexity and change.
The Quiet Shift started as a newsletter to support professionals through career and life transitions. Transitions are complex and challenging but hold tremendous potential. They invite you into a fuller exploration of who you are, what really matters and what a meaningful life and career looks like for you.

I work with individuals who are meeting an edge: the point where old ways of being no longer fit and something new is being asked of them.
They are often professionals in demanding environments who are either stepping into new roles, rethinking their careers or working with a specific challenge.
Many of them are also parents managing the practicalities of family, whilst performing at work. There is rarely a space for them to pause, process and restore their capacity.
They value clarity and alignment. They are highly competent, self-aware and reflective yet they recognise the deeper work needed to create the shifts they want in life.
My personal and professional experiences over the past 20+ years have influenced my coaching practice.
Informed by humanistic psychology, neuroscience and a systemic lens, my approach is experiential, intuitive and grounded in presence. The space I offer is deeply reflective and restorative.
People who work with me leave feeling resourced, with a clearer sense of what they actually want, a more honest relationship with themselves and a greater capacity to work through life's ups and downs.
If you're ready to live and lead with calm conviction, you'll feel at home here.
The point isn't to become a different person. It's to stop being confused about the person you already are
— Sam HarrisNurturing your own development isn't selfish. It's actually a great gift to other people.
— Dr Rick HansonWe are what we practice. We are always practicing something. Is what you are practicing aligned with your visions?
— Richard Strozzi-HecklerEveryone's quiet shift looks different, but the invitation remains the same: to find strength in stillness, wisdom in waiting, and power in the pause.
— The Quiet ShiftA major shift for me came in how I now reflect and think critically. Rather than giving me direct answers, Shehara encouraged me to explore different perspectives and challenge my thinking. This has helped me become more thoughtful, solution-focused, and balanced in how I lead. I also walked away with practical strategies that I now use day-to-day in my role, from managing difficult conversations to empowering my team with confidence and clarity.
Overall, the coaching has helped me believe in myself, trust my instincts, and lead with intention and authenticity.
I feel grateful for having the space to voice out what was my aim, my worries and hopes, and what options lie there for me. As we were approaching the final session, the situation arose at work that had uncertainty in it. Being in the program and working and learning with Shehara helped me meet this situation feeling more confident and grounded.
The sessions were an eye-opener as to whether the vision that I had for my career is something that I really want or just something I created in my mind. The clarity and precise way of how I look at myself was a game-changer for me.
Another benefit was to recognise the big and small wins in my daily life, not just professionally but also personally.
Engaging in coaching facilitated significant self-reflection, allowing me to carve out time from my daily routine to focus on my goals and identify underlying obstacles hindering my progress. Over the past year, I have made substantial progress, achieved key milestones, and overcome obstacles that were stifling my growth.
Reflections to help you navigate life's transitions with more ease.
